iUSCAN IUS Training & Certification — Second Cohort at DDW 2027

iUSCAN’s second Intestinal Ultrasound (IUS) Training and Certification cohort begins at DDW 2027, in partnership with the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and in collaboration with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCF).

DATE: A six-hour introductory hands-on course will take place during DDW 2027, May 15–18. The specific course date, time, and venue will be announced.

CURRICULUM: Self-paced eLearning and introductory training at DDW 2027; at least 100 local IUS examinations with longitudinal coaching and hands-on refinement at CCC 2028; and final knowledge and competency assessments at DDW 2028. Local scanning and virtual coaching reduce the need for extended training visits to outside centers. Accepted participants must commit to all three meetings and become iUSCAN members.

WHO SHOULD APPLY: Adult and pediatric GI fellows and advanced IBD fellows, with a limited number of places reserved for practicing gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and other providers. Training is free for fellows; fees for other participants will be announced.
